Due to our high level of absences due to a stomach virus, we will be cancelling class tomorrow (Friday 12/13/24), so that we will have a chance to get over this during the weekend and be able to start school Monday all well.
Uil students are 20 miles out of Grandfalls. Parents can meet the bus at the front of the school.
UiL students are 15 miles away from Fort Stockton.
Unfortunately, BV had a bus break down. Our staff and students turned around to help our neighboring school get their staff and students home from Sanderson. Their arrival back to Grandfalls will be slightly delayed.

At a specially called Board meeting on Saturday, December 7, 2024, the GRISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to name Carlos A. Contreras as the Lone FInalist for the position of superintendent of GRSID. There is a state mandated 21 day waiting period before the Lone Finalist can be officially hired.
Mr. Contreras is currently serving as the principal/superintendent of Dell City ISD. He has served in that capacity since 2018. He has a wife, Erika, and two sons, Carlos and Aaron. He is a veteran, having served in the US Navy and Navy Reserves.
Mr. Contreras and his family are very excited about the opportunity to serve the Grandfalls-Royalty community. Via email, Mr. Contreras said “On behalf of the four of us, I want to thank you so much for letting us serve you in your fine community and district. We look forward to becoming a part of your family”.

As we mourn the tragedy and loss that occurred last night to our neighbors at BVISD, we lift up in prayer all the family and friends of the students lost.
In order to allow our students and staff the opportunity to grieve and process this tragedy, all classes will be canceled for Friday, November 22, 2024.

Wednesday, November 20th, the Senior class with take senior portraits.
They will not purchase these before hand. Proofs will be sent home at a later date for parents and students to look over, approve and pick a package.
